This family in Oakton, Virginia needed to replace their aging and unsafe deck with an outdoor space the family would actually use.
The result was a beautiful traditional style screened porch with a breezeway connecting the porch to the kitchen door.
The porch includes heaters and fans to lengthen the usability of the space. A small grilling deck outside the porch connects to steps leading down to the new patio.
The underside of the deck and porch features a rain management system and finished ceiling creating a finished patio level below the upper deck and porch.
The new patio was designed to include a masonry sitting wall and paver patio field.
