Four-season backyard retreat in Ashburn

This project started with a blank slate.

Other than the existing small deck space, the backyard was wide open.

The client wanted a space for relaxing pool-side as well as for hosting parties and events.

At the heart of the new space, a custom in-ground Gunite pool with a detached spa and soothing water features serves as a tranquil focal point, perfect for unwinding. Nearby, the pool pavilion, crowned with a standing seam metal roof and fitted with electric heaters, showcases a central fireplace that radiates warmth and style.

Flanking both sides of the pavilion are matching Struxure Louvered Pergolas. One pergola extends over the chef's grade outdoor kitchen and the other over a lounging area next to the main pavilion.

Both pergolas open and close with the touch of a button providing shelter from the sun and rain or allowing you to soak up the sun when you want. For added ambiance, an inviting fire pit offers a cozy gathering spot for conversation under the stars.

The expansive patio adds a modern, sophisticated touch with monochromatic pavers, detailed with darker borders and inlays that tie the design together as a seamless entertaining surface.

Thoughtfully selected landscaping ensures the space transforms beautifully with the seasons, while soft lighting casts an evening glow that highlights the fire features and architectural elements.

Our team was responsible for executing every detail of this project, from the pool to the pavilion and outdoor kitchen.
